Protecting wallpaper with resin
If you’re looking to decorate a humid interior or a wall exposed to moisture, we recommend protecting your wallpaper with resin. Resin has a few unique properties. Without distorting colours or textures, it creates an invisible protective barrier around surfaces, making them impervious to humidity, moisture, dirt or changes in temperature. Resin additionally makes it easier to clean the walls and ensures that the colours remain vivid even if exposed to intense sunlight. It’s a great solution for kitchens and bathrooms, but also for any business, including beauty salons, restaurants and hotels.
A coat of resin will drastically extend the wallpapers lifetime and will make the decoration more functional. No longer do you have to compromise between style and practicality.
Two types of resin
Gloss
If you prefer brilliant, shiny wallpapers, pick glossy resin. To achieve the best effects, cover already installed wallpaper with at least 2 coats of resin. The second layer should be applied 24 hours after the first.
Matt
If you’re going for a matt finish, you should first cover the wallpaper with a coat of glossy resin and then, once it dries, apply a coat of matt resin. It’s the best way to enjoy a subtle, cool design.
